Worklist notifications not displayed when navigating to Home from iProcurement

Hi gurus,

I have an unusual puzzle, and I'm not sure if this is the right space to post my question in.  We recently upgraded to 12.2.5, and we never saw this behavior on 12.1.3.

Say a user has 5 notifications displayed in their Worklist on the home page.  If this user goes to a custom iProcurement responsibility (we have about 5 of these, but it is only one in particular that is the problem), then clicks the house icon to go back to the home page, the Worklist suddenly has no notifications visible.  The full list button still says 5.  The bell icon says 5, and the notifications are visible from there.  If you click the full list button the notifications are still not visible.  Refreshing the page doesn't help, and going to the
