Moving customised components from financials 8.4 to 9.2 (tools 8.49 to 8.55)

Hi,  We are moving from Financials 8.4 to 9.2 and tools from 8.49 to 8.55. We have decided on re-implementation, and not upgrading. However, we have a few large sized custom components that we would like to bring over on to the new version. So I want to know what the industry best practice is to bring these customization over to the new version, we would like to avoid re-developing. Thanks in advance, Sangi.
