Is there a plan to make the direct journal unpost feature more useful for end users?

The unpost feature creates a reversing GL, which is good, but does not change the status of the payment.  If users forget to create a new deposit, they are going to be out of balance when working on bank reconciliations.  Also, why should users have to do this?  If we unpost a payment, the payment status changes and the user can re-use the payment.  Unposting the direct journal should do the same thing.
