Upgrading from HCM 9.1/Peopletools 8.53 to 9.2/8.55 question

Hello,

I'm very confused about the upgrade process. I have installed the software and created the new demo database. Should I upgrade PeopleTools first before the application upgrade, or does it happen with the application upgrade?
