UK store setup by having VAT calculation

Hi All,

we are planning to open UK store and for that we need enable VAT percentage as 20%. Currently we only having US and Canada store so don't have VAT calculation for that.

Our system option table holds the value for default_tax_type as "SALES".

so please let us know what are the steps and setups needs to be performed to include VAT in our system without affecting existing tax calculation (US & Canada).
