Autocomplete/Typeahead should search within descriptions and datavalues and use 'contains' matching

We are upgrading from PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 to 9.2 and have been showing users the new release.  Users were very excited to see the autocomplete feature available for looking up chartfield values however they were disappointed that they couldn't type a fragment of a description and have the lookup choices populated.  This would be a very useful enhancement.  I briefly looked through HTML objects and delivered javascript to see if we might be able to do a customization to accomplish this but it wasn't obvious how this could be accomplished.  This would be a very useful enhancement and would save
