Single Payment Vendor - ACH Email functionality

Would like to be able to generate the Email Payment Notification that is available on the Regular vendor setup for the Single Payment Vendor.  The functionality is currently not available.  I see that there is an enhancement request  BUG 12643108   already logged by another company since 2011.  Is anyone else interested in this functionality.
