updating the data in both PeopleSoft instances at the same time using PeopleSoft integration gateway

I believe I heard when our ex team member  had an integration training , she told us while we manipulate data in one of the PS instance on the people soft page ( example : HR), we can insert/update the same data in the different instance ( example: Campus solution or FS) using integration gateway setup at the same time. Have anyone implemented this functionality or having any knowledge about this. if so please share.Thank you.
