Queries regarding FSCM92 PUM 23 DPK Install

Hi,

We are planning to install FSCM 9.2 PI 23 via NativeOS method. But we are not sure if we have to go for Linux or Windows installation. We are trying to acquire a new VM Windows server for the PUM installation.

Currently we are running on PT 8.54.21, FSCM 9.2 PI5 and DB2 which is hosted in AIX server.

Below are the queries:

1. Is it necessary that the nativeOS installation of DPK should be done only in host AIX/Linux server or can we install the PUM in a standalone VM Windows machine ?

2. If we are installing the DPK in a new VM windows machine, then I assume that we need to catalog the existing DBs in this new server for the Change Assistant to identify the target DBs. Please confirm.
