Change Assistant/PUM Image Version Questions

Recently at UW-W in preparation for a CS 9.0 to CS 9.2 Upgrade we have:

Installed CS 9.2 including a “classic” demo database (PT8.55.14 – separate PS_HOME, PS_APP_HOME, PS_CUST_HOME)

Installed PUM update image PI04 (PT8.55.12)

Our target database is:

CS 9.0 database (PT8.54.22 – combined PS_HOME, PS_APP_HOME, PS_CUST_HOME)

We ran the “SetupPTClient.bat” from PUM Image (PI04) and the following was installed:

PT 8.54.30 client

PT 8.55.12 client

Oracle 12c client

Change Assistant 8.55.12

I did some experimenting with Change Assistant and the PUM update image (PI04) using the 8.55.12 Change Assistant installed. I was able to fill out the general options (including PUM source) and to upload the upgrade source database information and a test target database information. I was also able to generate and download change packages for the “Required for Upgrade” updates and the application upgrade.
