Change Database Server Platform from SLES to RHEL

UW-W will be upgrading to PT8.55 and switching the Linux platform for our database/batch servers. The database will remain Oracle. We are currently running CS 9.0 with PT8.54 on SLES and will be changing to CS 9.0 with PT8.55 on RHEL. The current environment has a combined PS_HOME, PS_APP_HOME, PS_CUST_HOME and so will the new environment.

I am wondering about the best way of getting the code line/PS_HOME (executables, sqrs, scripts, data, etc. ) setup on the new RHEL platform.

Is it possible (since both platforms are Linux) to just copy the code from one place to another? Otherwise the choice I see would be installing PT8.55 on the new RHEL servers and then copying all the CS files. Is this a better choice?

Howdy, Stranger!
