Using Data Guard during a PeopleSoft Upgrade
Hi,
Using Data Guard to make a Copy of Production can be a great time saving option to start the Upgrade. Not having to spend time on making a copy first.
However, how would Data Guard play out during an Upgrade?
In a sense that you create a new Production Database at the production location using Data Guard, while Upgrading the Copy of Production (during MTP's).
Off course a lot is going on during a PeopleTools and Application Upgrade with changes through Copy, Imports, SQL...
I am wondering if Data Guard can handle that or if there are other considerations using Data Guard to save time building a new Production Database while upgrading the COP.
