Performance issue while loading data in RMI (Table Partitioning)

in Retail Merchandising System (MOSC) Question

Hi,

We are loading historical data in RMI.We have already loaded 1 yr of data.To increase performance we need to increase performance,we are preparing to do table level partition.

Please help me below points.

1) Is Table Partition work,if data is already loaded.

2) When should be the table partition to be done.

a) After creating the database initial tables or is it possible after data loading.
