A flaw in Review Bank Balances page and delivered Cash Forecasting Views?
I just discovered that the Review Bank Balances page in Cash Management and the Cash Forecasting views use the view BANK_ACCT_TBL in them. This view over the BANK_ACCT_DEFN table returns only active bank accounts.
This means that if you inactivate a bank account on April 23 and go to look at your cash position or your forecast or go the Review Bank Balances page, that account, which used to appear on your results, no longer appears and therefore results in a completely inaccurate forecast/position?
So let's say I go in on April 5 and see my bank balances from the 4th. There are 20 accounts and to total Closing Ledger balance is 48,980,000.00 USD. On April 19 I close 3 bank accounts and mark the accounts as inactive in Oracle. Those three accounts had a total balance of $15 million on April 4.
