GL Period definition v/s GST Compliance periods

Hi

Does your organisation use a GL calendar that is not a monthly calendar starting on 1st of the month and ending on last day of the calendar month ?

For example. you use a 445 calendar such as

JAN-17 starts 01-JAN-2017 ends 28-JAN-2017  (4 weeks)

FEB-17 starts 29-JAN-2017 ends 25-FEB-2017  (4 weeks)

instead of

JAN-17 starts 01-JAN-2017 ends 31-JAN-2017

FEB-17 starts 01-FEB-2017 ends 28-FEB-2017

If yes, you may want to ask Oracle support to include a 'Compliance period name' column in all GST tables for statutory reporting and data extraction.

Current solution in GST patch (for example Period End process) uses GL Calendar that is defined to default GL date in repository etc.
