nVision layout File directory best practices

I am using PeopleSoft 9.2, PT 8.54, Excel 2010 64bit version

We have all of our layouts pointing to a custom folder on the NT server and on our PSADMIN directory.

My question is that whenever we add a new layout or drill down layout and place it into the custom directory, it seems to always come up with a "file not found error" message.  I have verified that the files are pointing to the correct custom directory in config manager under the profile tab and nvision tab.  So since this seems to be constantly happening, is it recommended that we point the layouts and the drill down layouts to the PSADMIN >pt854> nvision >layout > drilldown directory location, or should we maintain pointing it to the PSADMIN> pt854> custom> FSPROD>
