help setting up department table security

Hi All,

I have worked on PeopleSoft for 22 years and have never actually ventured into department security.  Now I am trying to figure it out as quickly as possible but am running into a few hiccups along the way.

Below are the steps I have taken so far, with my goal to have department security set up using the dept_security tree.

  • created DEPT_SECURITY tree.
  • Ran the SJT jobs to refresh security
  • Added data permission list 'RSALL' to my ID
    BH174256
  • Tried to see any employees unsuccessfully
  • Tried adding security by permission list but am
    unable to select security type 021 for this so that could be a problem?
