How to find user sessions for mwa users

Under MWA Server Manager you can go to Monitor Server and see user session information.  I am looking for the logic on how this information is gathered.  Is this a SQL query?  I need to generate this information outside of this page.  I have opened an SR but I am not getting anywhere so far.
