Form Applet Controls having HTML Type = Password is coming distorted on UI in Siebel OpenUI

Hello All

In Tools > User preferences > Profile , we have two fields Password and Verify Password.

Their HTML Type in Control in Tools is Password as shown below:

As per our business rules, these fields are read only for our client .

However when we see them on Open UI, it shows like this:( In HI - ActiveX Client it works fine, it shows like this in OpenUI)

As you can see, the read only fields are show in grey (See user id), but Password and Verify Password is shown as if they are editable. However I am not able to enter any values.
