Application 9.0 to 9.2 Upgrade (...and to tools 8.56)
What would be the "best" (i.e. certified, supported) way to get a 9.0/8.54 FSCM application to 9.2/8.56 ?
The certified path for FSCM 9.0 to 9.2 is only for tools 8.54. If you did the certified path all the way to production, you'd also have to deploy SES, correct? Then, once deployed to production, a separate tools only upgrade to 8.56/Elastic could be executed. I would call this the "two-release" approach.
To avoid SES and go right to Elastic Search, could we execute the certified upgrade FSCM 9.0 to 9.2/8.54 in a "lower" environment, then, after fully tested, could we do a tools only upgrade in the lower environment to 8.56/Elastic Search? Could we take this approach through TEST and QA and then Production? I would call this the "two step" approach and with this approach, I'm thinking that we could avoid building SES. For the "two-step" approach, I assume that we'd would to follow the documented steps (
