How to fetch encrypted password from PSOPRDEFN

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need a develop a restful API which will authenticate an inbound user id /encrypted password by validating it against the one stored in user profile table.

Now my question is that if there is a way to decrypt the password stored in PSOPRDEFN.

Let me know if that is feasible at all.

This is needed to integrate the mobile application with PeopleSoft CRM wherein the userid/Password  used in mobile app will be validated with the one stored in PeopleSoft database.

PLease let me know your thoughts about it.

Regards,
