Applying PeopleTools CPU after initial pass

Good evening all...Our original upgrade source / production system was on PT 8.55.0.5 (HRMS 9.1)...We've gotten through the initial pass and first TMTP, but are now having to apply PT 8.55.15 to current prod because of the openssl / MCF critical vulnerabilities from Jan / April...

The plan is to apply the 8.55.15 tools patch to our upgrade source prior to the next TMTP, but wanted to see if there's any reason that this isn't advisable, or if there's any gotchas / additional steps we'll need to execute.
