Is there a way to reset the root password for the Image used in VM?

Imported the image 24 using Oracle VM last night. After checking it again this morning, the import was already complete.

When trying to login to access the directories, root password seems to be not working.

It would be nice if there is away to reset the root password instead of reimporting the image again in the VM which will take while.
