Can you avoid an outage during a Tools Upgrade?
Hi all - please bear with me as I am not a technical person - hopefully you will understand my question. We are currently upgrading Tools from 8.54 to 8.55.14 and from an 11g Oracle database to 12c. We plan to start on a Friday night and have the system back up Sunday night. Our Recruiting area is concerned about this long of an outage as external applicants cannot apply for jobs during that time.
Has anyone else found a way around this long an outage or found an inventive way to for external applicants to still apply? We do have a DR site, but not sure how that would work if we allowed them to work in that...how would we re-sync the data to the new database?
