Issue of Database on a different PTools version than the PUM Image

in PeopleTools and Lifecycle Management - PSFT (MOSC)

For those of you who remember the compatibility issue between PT 8.53 and PT 8.54 and PUM images...

Just to confirm, this is not a problem now that PT 8.56 is GA'ed.

However

if there is a discrepancy between the PUM Image's PTools release and your Target...

the requirement is, that the Change Assistant must use the higher of the two PTools releases.

Here's an example

Your environment was upgraded, and is now using PT 8.56

PUM Image released, built on PT 8.55

You would need to use Change Assistant PT 8.56
