POSTED_BASE VS POSTED_TRAN VS POSTED_TOTAL

Hello!

What's the difference between the POSTED_BASE_AMOUNT, POSTED_TOTAL_AMT, and POSTED_TRANS_AMT? We have a multi-book setup, multi-currency setup and are looking to tell users to look to one field for pulling data. Which field and why?
