Matching activity not recorded in voucher audit log?

We are in version 9.2, image 21.  We are using the Audit Logging for vouchers and one of the events we have selected is Matching.  However, it appears that this records matching activity if match exceptions are overridden, but not the regular matching process.  Is this working correctly?  If so, can someone explain it to me please?  Thanks.
