ElasticSearch User Profile security Requirements

We have implemented portions of the ElasticSearch.  For the User ID required to run ElasticSearch we were having some issues and Oracle Support advise to add the delivered PeopleSoft Administrator (PeopleSoft Admin Priveleges) Role. For security reasons we don't assign the PS Admin Role to any profile in Production. 

Have others implemented ElasticSearch and it's working w/o the PS Admin Role?

We did add the delivered PeopleSoft User, ACM Administrator, Search Administrator, Search Developer and Search Server Roles.

Please advise.
