Custom Guided Self Service

Hi experts, we are on tools 8.55.15, and I have been assign task to create a custom Guided Self Service transaction which should update ADDITIONAL_PAY component.

I'm not sure if this is even possible since every piece of documentation talks about JOB_DATA component and even Action field on Transaction Configuration page are designed to make updates to JOB_DATA component. Even red paper from oracle talks about job data. Does anybody knows if I can even achieve this customization using "Guided Self Service"?

Any additional info related to Guided Self Service or custom Activity Guide will be greatly appreciated
