Hyperion FCM Close Manager: Task Assignee does not receive email notification

It looks like that if I am the assignee/backup assignee and not the owner of the task, I don’t get  email notification of the task when it’s submitted/closed. If I add myself to the “Viewer” list of the task, I would receive notifications. Not sure why assignees don’t get emails for the task status change. Is it expected behavior?
