User Profile Component Interface to Delete Role from Mass list of Users

Hello,

I am looking for information on a method to delete role(s) from a mass list of users. I do NOT want to delete the entire profile or role. I am currently NOT using HR interfaces or LDAP integrations.

Is there a delivered method to delete?

Is there a separate Component Interface or web service functionality that exists to perform this kind of user profile maintenance?

Can the delivered Component Interface be modified to delete a role?

Is there a reason why Oracle did not provide this functionality?

I would rather not write/ run a script which would involve change management documentation, etc.
