Comp_frequency Translates a mystery to me

I don't think I have ever had a field that was like this before. If I open the COMP_FREQUENCY field in app designer it doesn't show any translates associated with it. Yet if I query the translates table I can see there are lovely xlatlongnames and shortnames in there.

One of them was deactivated back probably when we went live in 2000. Now I need it to be active again. Normally I would just go in to app designer and address the translates, unfortunately it is not there. I could just script the change I want to make but would prefer not to do that unless I have to.
