Automated Tasks integration options

Hi,

I'm exploring my options in integrating system automated tasks in FCM with external systems.  I've looked at the "FCM Integration Guide" document and it seems like the only way to integrate is through web service on the source side.  Is this correct?  We're running the 11.1.2.4 version.
