PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 MICR check printer issues after Microsoft monthly patches and reboot on co

Has anyone else had issues in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 where nothing prints to the MICR check printer after their corporate print server installs monthly Microsoft patches and reboots?  The printer can successfully print Windows test pages from the corporate print server and non-PeopleSoft documents from the Process Scheduler server (if you install the printer driver on it), but nothing from within Peoplesoft will print.  We are able to print successfully from PeopleSoft if we delete and recreate the printer object on the corporate print server.  We assume there is something incorrect in our PeopleSoft configuration/printer installation, but that doesn't explain
