sales tax in RMS 13.2.4

in Retail Merchandising System (MOSC) Question

Can someone please confirm if they were able to use Sales Tax functionality available in RMS?

We want to use this functionality to generated Tax events- Like back to school event to mark some items as tax free for specific time period.

After the event completion, the regular tax can be implied.

TIFPOSDN batch generates tax file for POS, it looks into TIF_EXPLODE table in RMS to generate this file. Every time this batch runs it considers almost all records available in TIF_EXPLODE table. TIFPOSDN batch is never completed.

Any help in understanding this functionality is appreciated.
