Alternative methods to get a file from an External Server

Hi all,

Just wondering if any one out there has managed to get files from an External server to a PeopleSoft system without using SFTP or the FileAttachment API - using IB or any other technique, may be?

Creating a custom target connector is out of the question - so, are there any other alternatives? Any inputs would be much appreciated..
