billing identifier not populating if change inventory item on invoices

Goodday,

If you create a invoice on Peoplesoft with PeopleTools 8.55.14 and 9.2 Database. On component : BI_ENTRY and Page: BI_LINE and enter a inventory item it pulls through an identifier but if you change the inventory item and choose a different  inventory item the previous inventroy items identifier is populated in identifier field. Is there a fix for this , is it a bug or can it be corrected.
