Want to Upgrade peopletools 8.53 to 8.56 need high level steps

Hi All,

I want to upgrade peopletools from 8.53 to 8.56. Here instance on 8.53 resides on windows 64-bit plaform and 8.56 i installed native Image on Linux operating system.

Is it possible to perform tools upgrade in my case.?

Please suggest some steps how to begin. High level steps is required.
