Suggestions for optimizing nVision drilldowns

Our IT department will be moving our servers from the city in which most of our PeopleSoft nVision users connect and work, to a location about 800 miles away.  Our nVision users currently have the PeopleSoft executables installed locally on their workstations, and IT is telling us that performance will be affected by moving the servers as is planned.  IT is offering Citrix is an option for running nVision drilldowns and loading journals, but we are concerned about the user experience when they have to work with other MS Office applications on their desktop, and Excel/nVision through Citrix--and transitioning information
