Elastic Search without enabling global search

Hi Gurus,

Can we use elastic search without enabling global search bar in the header? We are in peopletools 8.55 peoplesoft 9.2. Installed Elastic search. But don't want to enable Global search bar. Want to use search menu like we used variety. Can this be possible?
