Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. HSTPRG performance issue !!

Hi,

Performance of HSTPRG batch creating a trouble for us from a very long time.

We noticed that dropping of partition is taking much time.

"ALTER TABLE RMS13.ITEM_LOC_HIST DROP PARTITION SYS_P4605 UPDATE INDEXES"

This runs very long (more than 4 hrs).

Ideally it should not take more than 5 to 10 mins.

Please recommend any suggestions.
