Is the Z-axis supported on Siebel Gantt Applet with class 'CSSSWEFrameGantt'?

We have a requirement to show Events and its corresponding Event Travel items in a gantt applet view. For this we cloned the applet 'eEvents Session Gantt Chart Applet OUI'. Our configurations works as per requirement, but we are unable to use Z axis here to change the background colour of the Pane 2 to show the length of the event, exactly like in the "FS Dispatch Board Gantt Applet" to show overtime, normal hours for employees.

Is the Z-axis supported on class 'CSSSWEFrameGantt'? or is it specific to "FS Dispatch Board Gantt Applet" which has a class of "CSSSWEFrameGanttDBOpenUI"
