Data Archive Manager - experience sharing and direct purge without copy to History?

We are in the planning stages of using PeopleSoft Data Archive Manager and we are interested in what others have experienced with it.  We only use Accounts Payable (with some reconciliation processes under the Banking menu, i.e. import bank statements to "clear" checks) and General Ledger.  We are especially interested in:

- Any potential time saving steps/tips with regard to configuring the many pieces involved in an archive/purge definition (if you have advice regarding configuring multiple related tables in one object/template/etc., besides payments/vouchers/vendors and journals/ledgers which are delivered by Oracle, please share).
