programmatic workaround for GETSTATE from depreciated class weblogic.Admin in OAM 12.2.1.3

We use GETSTATE from our OS script that starts the OAM Adminserver and managed servers to delay them until the servers are in RUNNING mode.

Since  weblogic.Admin is depreciated in 12.2.1.3, I need an alternative to use from our Linux startup scripts for our 12.2.1.3 version of OAM.

Any ideas?

Just a note:   We also support OBI 12c and it has a start.sh, stop.sh, and status.sh that comes with the product.   Why isnt there the same scripts in OAM?   They are all WLS 12.2.1.3.

Any advice???
