GLS8020: CSV formatting is a problem

Has anyone come up with a solution to the issue with csv output for GLS8020 and similar chartfield reports?  This is causing some of our clients a lot of grief.  I have read the note:  EGL9.2: GLS8020 Budget Status Report Output is Wrapping When More Than Three Chartfields Are Selected (Doc ID 2220499.1).    I don't agree with the WAD note:  it seems this is a poor design.  We need to be able to generate Excel output from these reports that don't wrap.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
