Import Now- Spreadsheet Journal not generating Inter Units

Hello,

This is the first time we are using ssji via the direct import (import now) functionality. We have a test where we entered a journal with two different business units. It uploaded successfully and is in a valid status but did not generate inter-units. Is this typical? How do you get it to generate interunits?
