PeopleSoft SSO using Ping Access

We are trying to implement the application Ping Access as a SSO solution for our PeopleSoft FSCM applications.  When the Ping Agent is enabled on our reverse proxy server, node pings through PSIGW fail to return a response.  Ping has been configured to bypass anything at and below this level, /PSIGW/.  Is anyone using Ping Access?  If so have you had issues with PSIGW or how is Ping configured so that IB transactions do not go through SSO Ping processing?
