Workflow notification status FAILED

Hi Team,

I am new to workflow ,can you please help to fix below issue.

1.Even though WF_NOTIFICATION table having mail_status is FAILED ,but user has received the mail - how to debug this?

2.In specific role multiple users will be there ,if one person is not having mail id will entire role mail status will be updated as FAILED - how it works?

3.will nofification with FAILED status will stop notification activity to be closed ?

4.how to debug the workflow related issues
