Sharepoint 2016 and OAM 11GR2PS3

I'm investigating the integration options between OAM 11GR2PS3 and MS Sharepoint 2016.

According to the certification matrix only 2010 and 2013 are supported using a 10G WebGate.  From what I can tell we would need to deploy the 10G Webgate directly on the Sharepoint RP (MS IIS).

1) We have a presentation layer consisting of OTD with an 11GR2 WebGate protecting all the applications.  We would like to use this configuration rather than deploying a 10G Webgate.  Is this possible?

2) If this is not possible then can we use Federation (i.e. SAML) integration with Sharepoint 2016?
