How to Clear Active Reminders

Is there a way to clear all active reminders older than a certain date from user's worklists?  They have figured out that they won't get any more reminders if they leave the previous reminder there.  I can run sql to pull the ones still active but I don't want to have to pull each one up and clear it.   Is there a better way?
